Champulya is a traditional board game from Maharashtra, India. Players race their pieces from the starting safe zone around the outer path and then inward to the center WIN cell.

Setup

4 players, each with 4 pieces. Each player starts at one of the four X (safe zone) cells on the edges of the board. The game uses 4 dice.

Rolling Dice

  • Roll 4 dice each turn.
  • Count how many land white side up.
  • 1 white = 1 step, 2 white = 2 steps, 3 white = 3 steps.
  • All white (4) = 4 steps + extra turn!
  • All black (0) = 8 steps + extra turn!
